ZATCA Fatoora Portal

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), formerly known as GAZT, serves as the tax regulatory body in Saudi Arabia (SA). Last year, ZATCA unveiled its plan to roll out the e-invoicing initiative in two phases. Consequently, they successfully implemented phase I of e-invoicing starting from December 4, 2021.

Now, they are gearing up for the smooth implementation of phase II, scheduled to commence on January 1, 2023. ZATCA has also clarified that eligible taxpayers will be categorized into specific groups and receive notifications six months before their designated phase. For instance, on June 24, 2022, ZATCA announced that the first wave of phase II of e-invoicing would apply to Value Added Tax (VAT) registered taxpayers whose revenue exceeded SAR 3 billion for the year ending in 2021.

Furthermore, phase II of e-invoicing mandates that taxpayers onboard their E-Invoice Generation Solution (EGS) with the Fatoora portal. This article provides comprehensive information about the Fatoora portal.

What does Zatca Fatoora portal serve for?

To comply with phase II of e-invoicing, you must onboard your EGS and integrate your systems with a dedicated portal provided by ZATCA. To facilitate this process, ZATCA has developed the Fatoora portal, which allows taxpayers to onboard their EGS units by generating new Cryptographic Stamp Identifiers (CSIDs) or renewing existing CSIDs. Additionally, the portal enables taxpayers to revoke CSIDs and view the list of onboarded solutions and devices.

How to log in to the Fatoora portal?

To access the Fatoora portal, you have two options:

1. You can visit the portal directly using the following link: https://fatoora.zatca.gov.sa

2. Alternatively, you can go to ZATCA's website and click on the Fatoora icon to be redirected to the Fatoora portal.

Once on the portal, you can log in using your ERAD credentials, which include your Tax Identification Number (TIN) or the email address registered with ZATCA, along with your password.
